On October 16th Bill Stender was awarded the Entrepreneurial success award for Warren County New Jersey www.warrencountychamber.org.  In Bill’s acceptance speech he noted “I would be lying to you if I told you that I had a grand vision for this company 23 years ago.  In fact, I was a scared 23 year old kid who had anxiety attacks about leaving a regular paying job for the unknown of owning your own business.  Soon after leaving I opened a fortune cookie that read “A self employed man works twice as hard for 4 times as much money”.  I don’t know if that has ever been true, but like every business owner in this room, we work twice as hard because we love what we do, and quite frankly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
