I Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

The gift of salvation is a free gift available to everyone. It isn't just given to anyone based on deeds or "good works." The gift of salvation comes simply by asking Christ into your heart, by faith. [Ephesians 2:8] If you would like to ask Christ into your heart so that you can be certain of your salvation, you first need to recognize that you are a sinner. [Romans 3:23]

If you acknowledge that you alone cannot ascend to the Kingdom of heaven and you are a sinner, the next step would be to accept Christ as your only path to salvation. [Acts 4:12, Matthew 11:28]
